These fun explorations invite middle school youth (ages 10-14) and adults to partner together in science and discovery.  Investigate rock chunks from active Alaskan mines and connect them to everyday products.  Parents or adult chaperones must accompany youth.  Cost is $5 per event, plus a one-time $6 registration fee for the series.  For information, contact Marianne Kerr, 786-6300, or anchorage.4H@alaska.edu
